Get ready to get caught in the Whirlpool! The Schu-Tone Whirlpool Deluxe is the ultimate pedal for all your surf-rock needs. The Whirlpool Deluxe starts with a splash of a real spring reverb. The 5.7″ wide box will fit on any pedalboard. The Dwell control changes how hard you drive the springs of the reverb tank. At lower settings, you can get more subdued sounds; but as you turn it up, the springs really start to come to life. There is an added tone control to further tweak the sound of the reverb. The Mix control goes from full-dry to full-wet reverb tones. What makes the Whirlpool Deluxe special is the additional tremolo circuit at the back-end of the pedal. Rate and Depth controls are reminiscent of a Blackface amp, taking you directly to the swamp, or dial them back for a more subtle tremolo effect. The Wave shape lets you select from a traditional sine-wave or a choppy square wave for machine-gun like pulses.
