Yes, the Howler is based on the same green overdrive pedal that you think it is. But this isn’t just another Tube Screamer clone. The changes start by internally boosting the voltage of the pedal to create increased headroom for your signal. The input and output buffers have been tweaked to add more clarity and space to your tone. The tone control has been tweaked as well to create a more focused tone. A three-way clipping switch gives you silicon, LED or Op-amp clipping options, giving you the choice in your overdrive tone.
