Caesar Overdrive

Get your hands on some princely tone with the Schu-Tone Caesar overdrive. The Schu-Tone Caesar is a low-gain overdrive pedal that gives you hints of tube-like breakup. It has standard overdrive controls in Volume, Drive and Tone, as well as a switch to go between Overdrive, Boost and Distortion modes. Turning the drive knob, you won’t find ultra high-gain settings here, just amp-like breakup. The volume control gives a little boost to your signal, with unity gain being around 2:00 on the dial. The clipping switch is where the real versatility of the pedal is. The overdrive mode is tube like in its nature. The boost mode drops the clipping diodes to achieve much less drive than the overdrive modes. The distortion mode has more drive than overdrive, with hard clipping of the diodes giving a different edge to the distortion. The drive characteristic of this pedal cleans up well with the volume of your guitar or with your pick attack; play softly and the overdrive is lighter than if you dig in.
